Andrea the Pythoness

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 17835

When Andrea woke up, the process of her mind taking over the python seemed to have been completed, for she felt fully in control and could think more clearly. She had heard the saying "You are what you eat", but this seemed to have happened to the python to an extreme degree. How was it that she - or at least her mind - was still in existence? Could she have been given special powers - immortality, even - when she took on her quest?

Andrea had assumed, for no good reason, on meeting the python that it was male. Her lessons had never included python-sexing. But now she knew, whether instinctively or from knowledge she had taken from the python's brain she was not sure, that the body she now occupied was female. That was something of a relief. Somehow the thought of changing her sex seemed far more alarming to her than changing her species.

Andrea uncoiled her nine-foot long body, enjoying the sensation, then effortlessly slithered out of the tree-house and down the trunk of the lemon tree. Her sleep meant that she no longer felt quite so full, but it would probably be some days before she would need to eat again after having digested a little over one hundred pounds of her old body. Now she felt she ought to resume her quest, for she knew that it was a matter of honour not to give up whatever the change in one's circumstances. And she was a member of a noble house, though now a rather unusual member, so honour was important to her.

  1. So she resumed her search for the Golden Dishcloth of Righteousness.
  2. So she decided to resume her search for the Golden... Dammit, she couldn't remember what she was supposed to find. Being digested must have affect her memory.
