The Never Ending Quest - Episode 17618

Lord Fred paced the Staircase Room. He didn't know how long he'd been here. He didn't know exactly where he was.
All he knew that he was lonely. And he hated the place. The odd teal couches scattered around the room pissed him off. The boxes of food in the far corner were bland and boring and tastless. The metallic spout in the other corner brought horrible-tasting water.
The gigantic, twenty-foot wide column with the spiral staircase in the middle of the roof would have long ago been destroyed if it didn't provide the only possibillity of getting out.
Lord Fred had gone up and down the stairs, twenty minutes in each direction. He had gotten worried, after finding nothing and had gone back.
At least there were lights. Once one got past the boundaries of this stupid room, strange glass objects embedded in the ceiling gave off enough light to see by.
Lord Fred kicked a couch. He wanted to do something...

  1. Lord Fred looks up the staircase, trying hard to figure out how he got here.
  2. Lord Fred looks down the staircase and wonders where it leads.
  3. Lord Fred decides to oganize the food by alphabetical order.
  4. Lord Fred decides to write an account of his days on one of the many walls. Fortunately he had writing implements that smelled funny.
  5. Lord Fred decides to stab one of the couches.
  6. Lord Fred decides to fiddle with that glass and wood box that shows strange images when activated.
  7. Lord Fred invesitgates the walls and floors more closely.
  8. Lord Fred discovers someone is on the stairs, looking at him.
  9. Lord Fred decides to learn cross-stiching, well, a little, enough to make a doily.
