The Never Ending Quest - Episode 17462

The mailman drove forward on his shredded tires, nearly knocking Astra into the path of the oncoming truck. The car coughed and died, and the driver flung open his door and took off running at top speed down a side road while Astra was recovering her balance. Astra briefly tensed as if to give chase, then apparently decided that the still-approaching truck was by far the bigger concern. She brandished her dagger and Fred drew his sword, both preparing to face down this new menace.

"Get out of the street!" Betty yelled, noting with horror Fred's heroic pose directly in the path of the truck.

  1. Fortunately, the truck driver saw Fred and managed to stop in time.
  2. The truck hurtled relentlessly forward, and poor Fred soon experienced his second pedestrian-vehicle accident since arriving in this world two hours before.
  3. Helena dashed forward, knocking Fred out of the way.
