Fred and Astra rub their eyes in amazement, but the giant glowing chicken
is still there.
"Stand back," Fred tells Astra. "I'll protect you." "Ha!" says Astra. "I'm
quite
capable of protecting myself, thank you." "But I'm the one with the
sword," Fred points
out. "Damn, so you are. I was forgetting that. Anyway, do you think this
chicken is
the dragon's creation?"
The chicken is meanwhile getting somewhat impatient. "If you don't answer my question," it says, "I shall get angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." "Er, I'm Astra and he's Fred," says Astra hurriedly.
