Astra nodded to Lady Andrea Croix, then bedded down for the night. In the morning, they both awoke. Andrea showed Astra the trail that was rumored to lead to this reclusive wizard. They set out, and then an odd sensation greeted Astra. It was like a singing in her veins, similar to what she had felt during Lucien's spellcasting. She suspected it was this that tied her to others the dragon had manipulated. It stayed constant, and Astra began to realize increasingly that she had felt this before. It was the very same sensation the dragon's magick created in her when he had cursed her, first changing her into that beast, and then back. It was nowhere near as intense as then, but she was sure, now, it was tied to that specific spell. She pondered the repercussions of it. The dragon's comments had been cryptic. He called it a disease, and yet...he had cured her of it? Then there was his one comment...on it being dependant on astronomical alignment? What could he have meant by that? What indeed? Carefully, they followed the sparse overgrown trail, Astra's disturbance growing as they proceeded, until it was a pounding in her head. Then, abruptly, it stopped. As if to show the source, it was then that they saw a small stone hovel. It must be the wizard's residence. As they made their way inside, they saw chaos, the aftermath of something they had apparently missed. Books were thrown from shelves, phylacteries and crucibles overturned. Scorchmarks were upon the walls, yet there seemed to be no injured or dead present. Everywhere the heady feel of eldritch energy permeated. The dragon's minions had been here. Astra knew that must be what she had sensed. Though they apparently had not killed this wizard, he was not there anymore...
