The Never Ending Quest - Episode 16909

Fred found the innkeeper in the kitchen, preparing breakfast. "My companions are missing," he said. "And a woodsman entered my room just now without knocking, then left without saying a word. Can you shed any light on these strange events?"

The innkeeper shrugged his shoulders. "No, my lord," he said. "I have not seen your friends this morning. Perhaps they went for an early morning walk to clear their heads? Nor have I seen anyone looking like a woodsman." "How about a monkey?" Fred asked, not really expecting any reaction other than incomprehension.

A look of fear came over the man's face. Fred noticed it and knew that, unlikely though it might seem, he had hit the bullseye.

  1. "If the weremonkeys have your friends, you will never see them again," the innkeeper said.
  2. "Monkey? I don't know what you are talking about," the man blustered.
