When she came round, the first thing Stacy realized was that there was a
bright green octopus-creature six inches in front of her face. At first
she thought -- rather muzzily -- that it must somehow be "Chris," but as
her eyes slowly came into focus, she realized that there were, not one, but
two octopuses (octopi?) in the room, both of them lying unmoving on
the floor. It took her a moment to reach the obvious conclusion: when
she'd bumped heads with the second alien, he must have been knocked
unconscious, too! She struggled to sit up, her head pounding mercilessly and her eyes slipping in and out of focus. Where was the gun? She had to get the gun before either of them woke up...
