All of a sudden a lone horseman come barrelling out of nowhere, stops, and the rider shouts out to the black clad Taxmen as they approach: "Stop in the name of Bill!"
The Taxmen laugh as they ride past the lone horseman, hot in pursuit for new revenue for themselve....er.....the government. The horseman sighs and makes a jerking motion with his hands, like bringing a leashed dog to heel. The Taxmen scream as they feel themselves jerked off their horses, and land with a jarring THUD. The Taxmen are still groaning when the lone horseman comes trotting up, and chuckles as the leader rises slowly.
"What in the DEVIL do you think you're DOING!?" the lead Taxman screams, rubbing his backside. "Now that aristrocratic trash will get away......"
"Let them," bites off the official on the horse. "It's no longer any of your concern. The Council of Congress finally pushed it through.....the reforms in effect."
"WHAT?!" the Taxmen scream, outraged. "What do you mean we have to be a kinder, gentler tax agency?! That's outragous! How will we collect the taxes without our strongarm tatics?!"
"You forget," says the official in a deadly calm voice. "This is a Democracy! You don't insult the citizens and not expect a backlash. It took a while, but the people have spoken, gentlemen."
"But what about those foriegners?" a Taxman whines from the side. "They aren't citizens. Hell, they would NEVER participate in such a noble experiment!"
The official smiles, as if he knows something that the others don't know, and then the smile turns into a sneer as he looks down at the suddenly nervous Taxmen.
"Yes, about riding down the travellers on our roads......" the official drawls, pulling out papers that have a pinkish tinge to them (one for each Taxman)......
