Far from the tragic scene of Lord Fred taken prisoner by the over-sized
crow of the underground fields; farther from the screaming form of the
maiden/fawn Elora; farther still from the 13-year-old Lord of Light who
just happened to be conjecturing on the nature of transcendental
economics... was the Hole-in-the-Hill Pub.
Now, let it be known that the Southern Mountains, also called the Shreken, was not only home of the Terrible Dragon (now deceased) and the terrible Barney-thing (also deceased) as well as countless monsters and writhing thingies that lurked in molten caverns... but it was also the domain of the Inbetween. Hence the existance of creeks, and fields, and fresh air, and fawns, crows, great expanses, rivers, ogres, trolls, and the occasional attorney. It was also the place where the renowned Rina and Claude made their winter home.
