The Outlook for Mutant Stacy

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 16357

"Of course you're going to be OK, honey. We had every test done on you that the medical profession could think of. There shouldn't be any adverse effects on your health or your life expectancy. And you can have children, either with another fox morph or with a 'normal' man. The mutated gene is a dominant one, though. That means that in either case the children will be fox morphs themselves - though their fox characteristics will only become evident at puberty. And one other thing. The chance of your having twins or triplets is much greater than normal, apparently."

Stacy sat silently for a moment, digesting what she had learnt. Then she asked: "Mom, is there any prejudice against the mutants?"

  1. "No."
  2. "Well, you might find this hard to believe, but in a way you were lucky. There's no prejudice against fox morphs but pig morphs, for instance, are a different matter."
  3. Stacy's mother shifted uncomfortably in her seat, then said: "Yes, dear, I'm afraid there is."
