Astra, the fearless warrior princess, had fallen in love. She had gone
off a fighting when her mother had fallen prey to raiders. She had
pledged never to be as helpless when the raiders came. But she had always
regretted not taking a more traditional path and having children. She
privately envied the more quiet life she left behind. Here now was a dashing knight. Everything about him was so, so wonderful. Perhaps this was the man that she could settle down with. Perhaps she could finally yield without fear and quit herself of the mask of fearlessness. In truth, her fear was that someone would finally get to know her for who she was. Now, the cave seemed a little less dark and a little less damp. She tried to focus. Christian was creeping along a little in front of her. Oh! Look at that butt! This was the one for her. Suddenly, she saw a flash of light. After her eyes adjusted she saw it was the outdoors. Christian stood looking up at the heavens. Astra emerged and stood next to him.
