Having no faith that Qundarian was likely do anything useful to help him, Fred decided to follow Astra and the warriors who were taking Belinda and Carola back to their prison. Both Belinda and Carola were awake now, and Astra quickly improvised gags for them from strips of cloth torn from the ends of their own sleeves. Both girls were struggling and trying to kick their way free, but the warriors who carried them held them firmly.

  1. "Bye, bye," Qundarian said, waving to Fred as he left him and went after the party.
  2. Qundarian went with Fred.
  3. A message came for Astra from the dragon. Belinda and Carola were to be brought to the central cavern instead of returned to the island.
