Fred looks at his reflection in the mirror at the end of the room. He
wasn't sure that drinking from the bottle just because it told him to was
such a good idea. Fortunately, the room hadn't changed noticably - the
only occupants were the little dog named Velus and himself, and the
"Eat Me" cake and "Drink Me" vial were still on a
small table in the middle of the room.
Fred looked more carefully at his reflection. There's a small bump growing in the middle of his forehead. He wonders if he might have fallen over and hit his head during his disorientation. The lump was still growing, and growing fast enough that Fred could watch it swell in the mirror. The lump was getting itchy, so Fred absently started scratching at it. He's surprised by how large and hard the lump has become, but soon it itches so intensely that he scratches madly at it to try and make it stop. Finally, the skin breaks and the madness subsides. Fred's forehead still itched a little, but nothing that can't be ignored. Fred hears a strange sound coming from under the table. He looks, and finds Velus laughing (or making dog sounds that Fred assumes is laughter.) "What's so funny?" demands Fred, but before Velus can answer he takes another look in the mirror. The lump on Fred's forehead has grown into a stiff horn about four inches long! The horn is slightly curved and has a very sharp point. Fred is shocked to see such a demonic thing growing above his eyebrows and tries to rip it off. To his dismay, his new facial feature is growing directly from his skull and is now very solidly a part of his head. Velus is still howling with laughter under the table, much to Lord Fred's chagrin. Lord Fred looks at Velus, then at his reflection. His gaze drifts to the table with the labled foods, and finally it wanders to the open doorway that they came in through. Lord Fred:
