Say that again?

"Hey, Deveron!" Selania shouts at Deveron as he slithers closer. "Before you even THINK about doing....whatever, I think we need to TALK!"

"Talk?" the hormone addled dragon slurs thickly. "Why....do you....want to talk?"

"Because, frankly I don't think you WANT to GET it on with a dragon that used to be.... A HUMAN MALE!" Selania shouts at Deveron.

Deveron draws back at hearing this. He searchs Selania face and sees....at least she believes what she is saying. What is more alarming that brings Deveron right out of his hormone induced haze and into a state of near blind PANIC! This was a member of ROYALTY in front of him! Any dragon of the Empire knew the faces of the royal family, it was an excellent way of staying out of trouble! He's been making moves on the heir to the EMPIRE! Immediately Deveron prostrates himself before Lady Selania.

"Please forgive me, Lady Selania, I...I....I didn't know....I didn't mean any...." Deveron sputters, in fear of his life. "What did Merkotos DO to you?"

"Merkotos is that bearded man who just left to leave me and you.....to mate?" Selania asked in a mild voice. "He is the one who shrank me down to one and a half feet in length?"

"Yes, my lady he is......" Deveron momentarily looks confused. "What is a 'feet' besides what a person walks on or something someone accomplishes?"

"Never mind!" Selania says crossly. "So, you aren't going to try to.....take me or any dipstick thing like that?"

"No!" Deveron says feverantly. Selania looks down at the prostrated dragon, the wheels in her head almost audible.

"You are a loyal citizen of the Empire, right? Deveron?" Selania purrs. "You won't betray me to Merkotos, will you? Being a familiar and all.....doesn't supersede your loyalty to.....say me?"

Deveron looks up at Selania in horror, then, with an effort of will he gasps out: "I'm.....loyal.....to you!"

1. Selina grills Deveron on what he knows about Merkotos and this new world she finds herself in!
