"God damn it!" Stacy threw the communicator to the ground in a fit
of anger. "Can't those idiots get anything right? Their medical
scanners malfunction, their engines malfunction, their communicators
malfunction... I swear, I have no idea how these people ever got into
space in the first place!" "Deep breath, Stacy," said Paula, putting a calming hand on Stacy's shoulder. Stacy followed Paula's advice, then, feeling a little calmer, retrieved the communicator and slipped it back into her pocket. Maybe if they were lucky whatever was wrong would prove to be a temporary problem. Not that they'd been very lucky so far... Stacy looked down at the still-unconscious Dr. Burke. "Well, I suppose we ought to untie him..." "Then what?" wondered Paula. "I don't know. Start walking, I guess. Hopefully we can find our way to civilization. I don't exactly relish the idea of spending the night out here in the woods." Glumly, the two women set about untying Burke.
