Then Fred recalled that, though his country Allaria was undeniably
to the north of both Aqualaria and the Southern Caves, there were
lands that were farther north still. Perhaps the Frozen Wastelands
were to be found there. What was more of a puzzle, though, was
why everyone in Allaria thought that the dragon (aka Sir Toby, according
to Astra) was in the
Southern Caves, if he was actually hundreds of miles away to the north.
Also,
if that was the case, then how could the dragon have chained up Astra?

was lying, as it seemed, then perhaps she wasn't even really a princess?
