The Never Ending Quest - Episode 14958

Fred followed Astra into the tunnel, Exotica followed Fred, and Velus brought up the rear. They crawled in total darkness for a minute or so, then emerged into an enormous cavern, dimly lit from somewhere high above. In the centre of the cavern were four pedestals, and on the pedestals stood statues that were perfect likenesses of each of them - even Velus.

  1. Or they would have been perfect likenesses had they not been twice life-size.
  2. Or they would have been perfect likenesses had they not been half life-size.
  3. But as they watched the statues, they (the statues) began to shift and change.
  4. They noticed that the pedestals bore inscriptions.
