The Never Ending Quest - Episode 1461

Two men and two woman danced naked around a large flat stone slab on which
strange runes
had been inscribed. Their skins shone palely
in the light of the full moon. But then the dancers seemed to change. Dark
hair sprouted
on their bodies, which appeared to grow much larger. Soon, instead of human
figures four great bears circled the stone.
One of the bears spoke - or at least communicated in as close to human speech as his changed pharynx and vocal chords permitted. (He found the letters "f" and "v" particularly difficult, along with "th" sounds.) "It is time por de sacripice to our god," he said. "It will serbe a double purpose, por it will rid us ob dat huntress bitch. At last we habe pound her hide-away and can take her."
