The Interesting Diary Entry

That put an altogether different complexion on her finances. Why hadn't Chris mentioned this when they'd talked about her shortage of money? Surely, even with her memory loss, she'd have been bound to discover the existence of the loan sooner or later? Why had he wanted the money? And when was he supposed to repay her? Could it possibly be more than coincidence that she should lose her memory again just a day or two afterwards? Was this really not the first time that she had lost her memory, or could he be lying about that? But if that was a lie, wouldn't Chris know that she'd learn the truth from this Dr Neill?

Perhaps she was just being paranoid, and there was an innocent explanation? After all, if her theory was correct Chris would have had to be very careless not to check her diary, and dispose of it if it contained anything incriminating.

1. Stacy showed Chris the diary entry and questioned him about it.
2. Stacy thought it would be wiser to say nothing.
