As she traveled deeper into the earth, Astra realized she had little hope
of even finding her way back to the room with the rod. Then, finally, the
passageway leveled off, and she found herself before an immense
subterranean lake. There, as if it were left for her, was a small skiff, capable of carrying perhaps 3 passengers. She decided to take it, anything had to be better than this. As she poled the skiff across the lake, a mist began to gather about her. Soon, it blocked all vision. All she knew to do was keep going forward. Then, suddenly, she noticed something emerging from the mist...
