Shen Tso reluctantly left her sword and armour behind. They were useless
to her
now, and were much too bulky to carry. She wondered if the enchanted lake
could act as a defensive system
for the dragon. If
any warrior who came to slay the dragon had to pass through it, then it
would be
much more secure. It would face opponents reduced to not much more than
half of
their original size, without armour and probably deprived of their main
weapons as
well.
Her undergarment clung uncomfortably to her as she walked along the tunnel away from the lake. The material was cold and wet against her skin. As it was quite a thick cloth (it had to be in order to protect against chafing from the armour), it would dry only slowly, but that was the least of her worries.
