Play with Fire

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 13806

"Even so," said Fred, "preventing the invasion may be much easier said than done." (Alternate Version).

Now, Belboz said something about Elaine and the Amazons playing with fire when they used that powerful magical book, the Necromonicon. Similar in power and evil as it's twin, the Necronomicon, this sentient book got it's jollies by creating havoc and dissent in it's wake.

Thus, when it Feels a Disturbance created in the ether of Otherspace (caused in part to the fallout of a powerful mage battle between some magic users at a retirement castle), it gleefully latches on to see if something "fun" can come of it....only to scream in horror as a fatal Paradox hits it....and causes the Book to shred and fall apart.....splitting forth the confused Crystallic that had been used by a now defunct Atlantian Mage.

The mage had foreseen the greed of his peers, unlike some of his analogs, and had hidden the powerful artifact in the binding of a book. But, he'd miscalculated in his creations and the new magic item, unlike the original Crystallic, had a rather different idea on how to do business. In the end, the Necromonicon had lead to the destruction of Atlantis....and the evil book had then gone into hibernation....awaiting for someone foolish enough to seek it out.

Someone had, and someone gave it to a foolish young boy>

Now, however, things had gone "screwy" as some people on another world would say.

As wild magic surges from the ruins of what had been a powerful magical book, the wild fey magic gathers itself in one last act of spite....it almost seems and......

  1. Arthema, the flame haired Amazon leader, and a few others (like Fred and Belboz) awaken in a strange place....and Elaine is crying and staggering around in dismay over the lose of his new magic book!
