Edgar stepped back. 'Just who I've been looking for' echoed within his
aching and throbbing skull. He was tired of being 'looked for' at all,
and worst of all, the man he was looking for, searching for for the past
year had just jumped off the roof without even a hullo or goodbye.
"Every war," continued the woman, "is fought on the spiritual and material planes. With the Serafim, Elohim & Ofanim doing duty in heaven and hell we need capable soldiers here in the created universe." "Look," said Edgar. "I'm no soldier. All I want is to catch up to my dad." With that he rushed to the roof's edge and looked down. He saw what he expected - cityscape. He knew that his father was an angel, he knew angel's had wings, and wings could fly in two realities. His dad was gone. "Damn, damn, damn!" "Now don't be so angry," said Donel as he walked up to Edgar. "What is IS, and what must be will come to pass. That is the way of things, even if the things don't quite realize it." "Then why this stupid war?!!?" yelled Edgar. "You make it sound so easy, like so many footsteps to an ultimate destiny. But if that were true then free will would be a farce and this war would be impossible. But people do have free will, and so do angels. Stupid angels." "Then help us make things right," said the woman.
