Josh couldn't believe his ears, neither -apparently- the Emperor person nor the cat lady, or the fat man wearing the green lantern t-shirt. There were yells and screams and catcalls: "you gotta be kidding!" "I gotta get to Columbus, Georgia... its a matter of life and death!" "I don't remember this from any other episode!"

But Compton woud hear none of it - in part because when he was a babe he had an ear infection and his left ear was never the same again - also in part because he was waving a gun and shouting back: "Shut up! Shut Up! Shut Up! What do you not understand when I say 'shut up'? We are at war! The conspiratists are trying to destroy all technology that they can't control... don't you see? The rotary phone was not digitized! They had to kill it and replace it so that no one would suspect their covert manipulations of our lives!!!"

"Is this guy serious?" whispered the cat lady to Emperor Cartagia.

"Is 'conspiratist' a real word?" said Emperor Cartagia to the cat lady.
