The Problems with Riding a Tiger...

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 13309

He could sense a disturbance in this reality. Its name was Scott.

You know what the problem with riding a tiger? Problem is that once you get on its back, you shall have a heck of a time getting back down without the now annoyed tiger eating you. Alas, unlike some races out in the multiverse, the robot's creator got eaten (if not by this weapon system, then by some other thing). End result is the same. Death.

Sure that some in the defense industry back on a world called either Earth or Dirt could sympathize....maybe...

...

Whatever...

Of course, this robot is a now vanished race's ultimate (and most deadly) weapon system. This means that it has a lot of powers at it's beck and call.

Has to have that! He's going against a shmuck, yes. However, this particular Scott Chen has Author Powers (godlike powers found in that realm called Addventure Game 3).

Well.... it ALMOST worked!

In the end, a VERY punchy Scott Chen stands victorious above the burnt out hulk of the robot. Burnt out hulk on a now burnt out world . . . in a now dead solar system. The sun, now a red ember in the sky (much of its fuel having been blown off it by some near misses by either the robot and/or Chen) shines feebly down on the carnage below. That was the ONE of the side effects of all those powers (too horrible to mention here and now) was that.

Another was there were a LOT of temporal/spacial anomalies created. The kind that suck up people from off the street, into thin air. The kind that plunks them down, willy nilly in the oddest of places. The kind that bring the oddest people together. That or opens pathways (weird ones) to other realms that some (like say Scott) will use to . . . fulfill his master's orders.

Flagg HAD ordered him (under no uncertain terms) to complete his latest assignment. Now, he could have done it much easier than this way. Retreated and found a different path, but this is Scott Chen: chump.

He walks the paths after some thought (of dubious quality).

He'd always had a taste for cartoons..... YES! A cartoon convention it shall be, then!! He gathers them up, places them together in a cavern that had, hours before, been the scene of a really happening party....

Which had to break up early due to on of the gate crashers (some unwelcome knight who'd mistaken a dragoness for his Quest target) . . .

  1. Well, you'll see...
