Fred bravely turned to face the big mutant spiders as they approached
menacingly. They looked as though they wanted to do nasty and unpleasant
things to him, such as eat him or sell him magazine subscriptions. Fred
would have none of it, of course, and withdrew his sword. A less brave
person, or perhaps a more intelligent person (debate rages unresolved on
the subject of whether there is a difference between the two), would have
evaluated the unfriendly odds presented by the circumstances and used
whatever resources were available to leave the situation as quickly as
possible, but Fred was neither of those persons. He was Sir Frederigo
D'Honaire, bold and daring knight, and he was also...
