The man and Edgar rode for a block before it happened.
The man wave his left index finger about in a vague twirling motiong. Everything stopped. The people on the street, the birds in the air, the cars themselves, even the droplets of phlegm that erupted out around the cabbie's bad smelling cigar.
Edgar backed up against the door.
"Do not be afraid." said the man. "For it is I, your lord and savior. I am Jesus, Edgar. How are you doing? Look. We have much work to do. Donel has gone rogue."
Edgar gaped.

  1. Edgar pushed open the door and ran.
  2. Edgar stayed and talked.
  3. Donel smashed open the cab window and dragged the man, Jesus, out onto the road.
