Captured by the Dread Pirate Lots

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 12633

The four companions were marched before a fierce-looking man wearing a captain's uniform which had seen better days. He had a peg-leg and a black patch over one eye. A parrot sat on his shoulder. "I be the captain of this ship, the Aoldotcom," he said, with a fine disregard for grammar. "I be the Dread Pirate Lots. Who be you?"

"Er, we be - I mean we are - Fred and Robert, and the ladies are Astra and Alexis," Fred said, feeling that it would be unwise to tell the pirate that he was a lord or that the women were princesses (or a princess and a prince, depending on your point of view).

"Why so coy, Fred?" Robert said. "I am Robert Billingsley, the most feared outlaw in all the lands. I am sure that you and I are going to be great friends, Captain, since we obviously have much in common. These three others are disgustingly law-abiding, though. Fred is actually Lord Frederigo D'Honaire from Allaria. The girls are Princess Astra from Aqualaria and her sister Alexis - formerly her brother Alex until an unfortunate disagreement with a wizard."

Fred seethed. He might have known that Billingsley would betray them.

Lots thought for a moment.

  1. "We should get good ransoms for those three," he said. He turned to his crew and said: "Take them below decks and clap them in irons."
  2. "I don't like the nobility, with their fancy ways. All three of them can walk the plank."
  3. "The man Fred will walk the plank. The women can make themselves useful with cooking and cleaning, and in other ways."
