Stacy decided that going and getting a flashlight would take too long.
Besides,
she wasn't clear how she could get back to the street; the way she had come
in was well out of her reach. If her memory of the map was correct, the
transmat
reception station should be about a quarter of a mile away in the tunnel
to her
left, so she set off in that direction.
After walking for only a few minutes, she saw a light in the distance. At least she had come the right way, it seemed. She realised that disused subway tunnels had one drawback, though. There was no obvious cover. Of course, the dark background would help her, so long as the daleks weren't using infra-red sensors or anything fancy like that. By luck rather than forethought, she was wearing dark clothes. Then she saw a figure silhouetted against the light, moving towards her.
