Velus runs off, reluctantly. His doggy ears hears Astra's defiant growl as the reality wave washes over her. But even a courageous dog's speed isn't enough to outrace the wave. It just got faster and faster and it turned the hairs on the tip of his tail to iron and... BAMMO! Velus twisted in mid-air, bounced off something soft and landed in a human lap. He barked in confusion and ran into a corner. He was in a small, wood- paneled bedroom. It was the pillows he had hit. And the lap belonged to a young man. He had light blonde hair, a pleasing smile, a black cape with a red interior, a white, fluffy shirt that oddly enough, smelled of another man, and black leather pants. His legs were folded up underneath him (and inches off the floor!) but Velus could smell the leather boots and the black ink used on them. "Be not afraid, doggy. I am the Wizard Of Kamiro. I am a Force For Good." Velus tilted his head. Did the mage actually pronounce capital letters? "You're human in there, aren't you?" Velus whined. "Okay, okay, I can understand that you're scared. I'm going to the other room to cook up some meat and brew some tea. I'll bring some in when it's done." Velus tilted his head again. He was a mage. Why was he cooking? "Sorry about the wait, little puppy. You look wiped. I'll bring in some water right away. Food in ten minute. Could be in ten seconds but the Source," yes, capital letters again, "well, it gets grumpy when you do that kind of thing." The Wizard Of Kamiro stood, on his own two feet and walked out of the room.
