Fred and Astra might have learnt something of use from the
conversation beneath them, had Astra not felt her feet start to slip. The
black boots that she was wearing were very fashionable, but their soles
did not give a very good grip. She had just a split second to regret not
having remained barefoot, before she fell down on top of the two women,
knocking them to the ground.
There was no longer any point in Fred remaining concealed, so he let himself drop to the floor too, in a rather more controlled way than Astra had done. Astra got to her feet. "So sorry," she told the startled women. "Can't stop. Bye!" With that, she ran off down the hallway, with Fred right behind her.
