No Better Off?

"If it had had bars then the animates would have been able to see inside and spot us," Jarlath pointed out. "Maybe you could use the Pyramid to create a door? But it had better not be until the animates have given up looking for us."

"But as soon as we leave this cell, won't the damned alarm go off again?" Carola said. "So we won't be any further forward."

The cell was dimly lit by a glow coming from somewhere - no doubt laid on by the Pyramid - so at least they weren't in total darkness.

1. Belinda happens to look down at the floor, and spots a trapdoor.
2. Unfortunately before they can try to escape Vaeren materialises in the cell.
3. Jarlath wonders if the Pyramid has enough power to teleport them out of the castle altogether, without the effort involved killing Carola.
