Astra didn't know exactly how she did it, but being within the astral
plane somehow enabled her
to connect with the minds of her younger sisters: the blonde Belinda,
eighteen, and
the redheaded Carola,
just fourteen. They were in bed asleep at the time, which perhaps had made
it easier
for her.
"Astra, is that really you?" she heard Belinda's voice say in her head. "You've been gone so long, we feared you were dead. How are you speaking to us? Is this just a dream." "No time to explain. I'm in deep trouble. Will the two of you help me, though it's very dangerous?" As she spoke, Astra was dodging around the pillars, though she knew she could not evade her antagonist for long. He was taking his time, confident that he would eventually prevail. After all, had he not been confident he would not have teased her by giving her armour and a sword. "Of course we'll help you," she heard both her sisters say simultaneously.
