A fight well fought

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 119597

They all checked on each other, helping Cinnamon to her feet - though her knees still shook violently, to her shame - and foudnd that, barring a few scratches, they were quite well. They relocated, spending a bit of time finding a place with more cover, and settled back down for the night.

However, as she lay trying to sleep - Jessamine still awake, on first watch - Cinnamon found that something felt wrong: she was beginning to feel sick to her stomach.

  1. Abruptly, she darted a few paces away from the party to vomit, but as she did, her feet lost purchase and she began to slide down the mountainside.
  2. She hunkered down and tried to sleep, but it was a restless night, and by morning it seemed half the party was properly ill.
  3. But it was more than a stomach bug: she began to writhe, her body racked with debilitating pain. What was happening?!
