"Let's go. Time's a wasting!" yelled Menifee. "We will never make it," replied Fred. There is no way that we can run up to the upper chamber in less than fifteen minutes, much less 'blast our way in.' But there appears to be another pedestal here. Let's make haste and see if it might help. They seem to be here for a purpose." Belboz concurred. "Whoever set up the castle is setting up some sort of test. And it said something about multiple tests, not all being tests of strength or skill. For now, let's play their game." The three adventurers walked to the pedestal. The were three small bowl-like indentations on the top of the pedestal. These were arranged in a triangle, with the apex pointed toward the castle, the word "port" to the left of the lower left indentation, and the word "starboard" to the right of the lower right indentation. "Port, Starboard?", said Fred. "I don't know," replied Menifee. "I had to travel to Nom Galba once. I went by ship, and and I learned that port is left, looking from behind. Starboard is right. At night, lanterns are lit, and a powder that turns the flame green is mixed in with the fuel of the starboard lantern. So gray stone up top, red stone to the left, and green to the right." Belboz placed his stone at the top. Fred quickly placed his stone to the right. Menifee
