Mitza's sacrifice

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 119506

There were, in fact, multiple tribeswomen willing to give up their bodies to the spirit of the fallen warrior queen. Vodirk selected the one he found most beautiful and strong, a warrior a few years Folcrada's senior called Mitza, and the ritual began in privacy, with only Mitza, Gorin, and Vodirk present.

Gorin marked Mitza with the same markings on Folcrada, and called her spirit to enter and overtake Mitza's body. And Folcrada's spirit came, and Mitza crumbled as turmoil overtook her mind. In the end...

  1. Folcrada was not strong enough to come to the fore, but lingered, only semi-consciously, in the back of Mitza's mind, influencing her but not shunting her out.
  2. Folcrada and Mitza's spirits ended up at odds with one another. Folcrada took the reins, but Mitza remained, conscious, in the sideseat, able to talk mind-to-mind with Folcrada at all times.
  3. Mitza's spirit surrendered to Folcrada's, and left the body, leaving room for Folcrada to claim it as her own.
