Gigi wasn't sure what emotion she felt upon hearing this. In a weird, very unhealthy way, she'd become somewhat fond of Regon... but more prominently, this had been a nightmare, and she'd mostly be losing only bad things by missing those memories. But wouldn't she be tormented by not knowing? And - no! No no no, this couldn't happen, and the reason this couldn't happen was that she wouldn't remember what had happened to her - !

When she woke up, she was sleeping on the side of one of the dirt roads leading into town. She last remembered walking on her way to her job at Regon's... What had happened? She blinked profusely, but could only see a glimmer of sun and the dim outline of her surroundings if she squinted very hard. Why... why couldn't she see?? Why -

  1. She lurched to her feet, though she was very uncertain where she was going, and began to stumble towards town.
  2. As alarming and horrifying as these questions were, there was one more thing - she felt so achy. Though she didn't realize it, this was because many years had been lost in translation, as she'd been quite an old dog. She was now about 63 years old.
