Belboz reappears

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 119289

She awoke to the faint crack of a twig nearby when all the piglets were still huddled around her, fast asleep. Belboz stood across the clearing, and everything rushed back - all her confusing emotions. She had spent five years as his daughter. She'd had great feelings of affection towards him. And even now, she trusted him - and a rush of overwhelming excitement came over her as she realized he was here.

But something held her back from true joy, and at least there was an immediate practical reason: she didn't want to disturb her sleeping children.

"Hannah?" said Belboz, somewhat quietly, in disbelief, before he chuckled. "The farmer said you were pregnant, but even so... Already a mother. Goodness, how you've grown in a paltry half a year on your own."

She waited, still watching him intently, for him to reveal the purpose of his presence here. Was he going to take her back? It had broken her heart when he'd sent her away, but... Something about it seemed wrong... He... He'd been the one to turn her into a pig, right? But... well, she did really enjoy being a pig, even if she was considering trying to undo it... Wait. Hadn't he also been the one to turn her into a - ?

"Well," he said, derailing her completely and once again commanding her rapt attention, "I really didn't expect you to escape the farmer so soon, or at all really. I found I didn't like the idea of you just out there in the wind, so how glad I am to have found you so quickly."

She kept waiting nervously for him to finish his point. At last he said,

  1. "Well, now that I know you're here, I see no reason you can't stay. I'll just make sure you can never leave." He waved a hand. "And check on you every once in a while of course." He smirked. "I miss my little girl, after all."
  2. "Well, now that I know you're here, I see no reason you can't stay. And look, you've even been kind enough to supply me with all these little bundles of joy."
  3. "You know, dearest, maybe I'll enjoy being a grandfather more than I enjoyed being a father..." He waved his hand, and they all disappeared.
  4. "Unfortunately, I take my promises very seriously, so I'll be returning you all to the farmer now."
  5. "Actually, there is something in particular I want to discuss with you. Have you retained any langauge at all? Nod if you understand me."
