A different perspective

"It seems to be the only thing in this damn place." Fred said, setting them on his nose.

"Arrrrgh!" he said, snatching them off again.

"What is it?" Astra asked. Fred handed her the glasses.

Astra put the glasses on, and yelped in surprise. Fred appeared as an old, old man, his face a mass of wrinkles, his hair white, but still recognisable as Fred. She looked down at herself, and saw that she, too, appeared as an old, old woman.

The stairway around them was ruined, with huge stones missing. Experimenting, Astra moved her hand into one of the holes.

Fred gasped. Astra had just put her hand into solid rock. He lightly moved a finger along her arm until his hand reached the rock. It went into the stone as if it was air.

Astra pulled the glasses off, saw both their hands were submerged in rock, and quickly moved towards the stone wall. Taking a deep breath, she poked her head into the stone.

At first all she could see was hard marble, pressed up against her eyeballs. She saw it, but didn't feel it. Then she went in a bit further, getting her shoulders into the rock as well. Suddenly her face came out the other side, and she saw...

1. Thousands of staircases, stretching as far as the eye could see...
2. A black void
3. Thousands of orcs cutting down trees
4. A small table with a bottle marked 'Drink me'
5. The Quidditch field at Hogwarts
