The cart was a grand affair. Covered, with benches inside and pillows and
blankets. The horse was, from hoof to ear tip, five inches taller then
Astra. It was golden brown, tapering to a reddish dark near the hooves. It
whinnied when it saw them. Fred found a few bowls and cups under one of the benches. He filled a blue bowl with water and brought it to the horse. The horse drank sloppily, emptying the bowl in seconds. Three times it did, then stopped. "What do we do?" said Fred. "We gotta go on but we can't leave the horse in the sun. Without us, who knows?"
