The fight was an awkward one. Stuck in a small cave with little room to maneuver and with the main aggressor being rather unused to his new body and means of attack, it seemed at first that both parties would simply wear themselves out without serious injury. However, Belboz finally made the mistake of attacking the young foal. Instantly, Fisella's fighting spirit and motherly instincts found common ground within her, and she leapt into action. Meeting the former necromancer's charge with her own, she swung her graceful head around to dodge her opponent's horn and drive her own deep into his heart. Thus, the necromancer, Belboz, met his end, not as the powerful, calculating, morally questionable man that he had been but as a scared, confused animal. Slowly, his four legs crumpled, and he fell heavily to the ground and breathed his last. Then, demonstrating why even dead unicorns were so seldom seen, his body began to evaporate, leaving behind nothing more than his horn. Meanwhile, Fisella stood in shock at what she had done. Her unicorn nature recoiled at the violence, but her dragon-slaying fighting spirit and her motherly instincts both agreed that she had done what she had to. The baby was safe, as was her mate whom she had grown to love despite her ongoing inner conflicts. What more could she ask for? Curiously, she glanced at the detached horn on the ground and experimentally prodded it with her own horn.
