When Fred woke up, she stretched out, feeling better rested than she had in a while. Something felt... different. Something big. She looked around, slowly remembering where she was, and her eyes presently fell on the selection of three outfits hanging across the room: a simple doublet with trousers and boots; a plain brown cloth tunic, as a young peasant might wear; and a long, lovely pink dress with a white satin bow. Her eyes skimmed right over the former two options as she quickly crossed the room and took the latter in her hands, examining it with wonder. It was beautiful, and looked just her size! Quickly she took off her simple nightgown and slipped into it. Soon enough, she noticed the vanity at the other corner of the room, with several brushes, combs, and bows available to help arrange and adorn her hair. How messy it was indeed! She quickly took a seat and got to work, but her hands slowed as she did. Why... why did this feel so natural? She'd never done anything like this before, or even cared to. But it was so enticing now... well, she was still in a precarious position, wasn't she? She had to put in some effort to look her best, or who could take her seriously? So she spent the better part of half an hour brushing her golden hair and arranging it in piles of braids atop her head. Her technique was a little off, as this was the first time she'd ever attempted something like this, but in the end she felt a great flush of pride in her work, feeling beautiful as she surveyed herself in the mirror. The castle boys were sure to notice her like this! ...What? No... No! What on earth was she thinking? She wasn't some girl, she was a knight! What was going on? What was happening to her? "You look ravishing," came a voice from behind her, and she whirled around, to see Arahim standing in the doorway. "I'm glad you found the things I left you to your liking." She blushed, smiling at the compliment, but also felt faint suddenly. She was terribly confused. She knew she was a knight... but at the same time, the very thought repulsed her. Being a big, hairy, muscular man? She knew it was the truth, but... but she didn't want that. She laid her hand against her forehead as she began to swoon, but she did not collide with the floor, and presently, after a few dizzy seconds, she realized Arahim had caught her. "There now, girl," he said gently. "Take it easy. You've had a difficult few days. Are you remembering more?" She was overwhelmed, having no idea how to respond now, and elected not to. So he carried her, easily, to her bed, and laid her down before leaving quietly. As she lay there, she had the odd desire to go out into the castle and be seen - something that, before, she had wanted to avoid where possible, because this form was not hers, and she didn't want anyone to associate her with it. But... but it was hers. She felt that it was, even if her memories contradicted that feeling. Soon she decided...
