Fred—or... or perhaps Bella really was a more appropriate name for her... Bella suddenly saw Nate in a new light. True, she had hoped against hope to be able to return to her old life, but... was there really much hope of that happening? She'd known Belboz was powerful beyond reckoning, and there might be no one out there at all who could undo his enchantments. If... if she accepted this form, this life, then she could be with this knight. Who had committed himself to helping her. Who had given up his set path for her. Who clearly loved her. Why had she snubbed his affections for all this time? It was so clear they were meant for one another. Phelyp slyly watched her from across the table. How he adored young love. He knew all she'd needed was a little push, and these two would be happy together for the rest of their lives. Nate, for his part, took another minute or two to notice her staring, but at last he did, and asked uncertainly, "Bella? Is something the matter?" She shook her head, and cast a concerned, subtle glance at Phelyp. Phelyp, knowing exactly what was going through her head, said, "Pardon me, I've just remembered, I, ah... have to check on one of the herbs growing... at the other end of the house." He stood, and left the room. Bella was surprised, but appreciative, and turned her full attention back to Nate, who was now more than a little puzzled at the behavior of those around him. For a long moment, she debated on how she could show her love in a way that was proper, but then she just couldn't hold back anymore, and she leaned forward, planting a kiss on his cheek. "Oh!" cried Nate, laying a hand against the site of the kiss, looking at her with wide eyes. "Oh, Bella, I - thank you - what - what was that for?" Had that been too platonic? She huffed silently in frustration, and went for the mouth this time. And although it was improper, and he weakly tried to stop her at first, he did sit back and let it happen. "About time," said Phelyp with some amusement, having returned by now. "You've been dancing around each other this whole time. When's the wedding?" Bella held fast to the front of Nate's shirt, giggling silently, and at the question, looked up at him expectantly. "Bella!" he cried, though he looked over the moon. "This - this is so - oh, I do love you...
