The Master "Well, isn't THIS a really depressing sight!" muttered a human-seeming man dressed as a 20th-century sailor of the US Navy, ignoring me for a moment as I struggle to NOT vomit the contents of my stomach all over the floor. "But it doesn't tell me at all why the Hell I at least was summoned here without as much as a 'by your leave'." I myself am somewhat curious and could have asked myself, if not for the aforementioned issues with my stomach. While I have come a LONG way in being able to control the downsides of certain shortcomings of clone bodies created by the "First Child Process" -- especially from medical advice given by a certain young woman VERY familiar with the ins and outs of that cloning process -- there are still issues I face even today. . . . . So very don't get me wrong! I will take the shortcomings of any old day over my old Rot form. That and let us not go into the PR nightmare I would have to face if I would have been so idiotic in going with the bodysnatcher option so many of my other, more idiotic and villainous analogs. Have quite enough headaches with the legacy of misdeeds I did before turning over a new leaf and opting for more of an anti-hero style of things. . . Long story involving a rather bright human woman, I would tell you about it but . . .it IS a rather long and convoluted tale. And there IS the fact that I am facing TWO high-powered reality warpers (one of which is a mass of tentacles and non- Euciledian geometry which is painful to behold)... They have a higher priority right now, alas. I am sure, however, that you understand. "I . . .I would like to know that myself considering that I was on a Quest to save what was left of a planet's population from extinction," I manage, finally mastering my stomach to be able to clearly speak and NOT look utterly pathetic in the attempt. "That would be because of me," the blob of tentacles who later I learn is called 'The Abyss' (what an utterly un original name) says, glancing my way before turning back to the sailor/ entity/ whatever. "Basically, I am calling in a favor from that one Event I aided you with Crossroads Man." Crossroad Man frowns and nods, apparently not Happy about a favor being called but willing to listen at least to the Abyss. "And I am using the Quest of 'Professor Tremas' to reward the humans I've been Playing with for being so FUN and? ??challenging," the Abomination of tenacles continues, sounding almost chipper of all things! I find out that the Abyss has been actually waging a WAR on all the nations of Earth (or rather a parallel of the Earth I am familiar with) which oddly enough reflects a free to play web browser game from Japan I'd seen in my travels. . . .
