What's in a name?

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 118093

At once Ginnie was squealing in joy, and caught up Lila in her arms. Lila hugged dazedly back, saying again, "Ginnie."

"Oh my dear! I'm honored that your first use of your new voice is spent on my name." She laughed. "Lila, this is marvelous, it worked! Swimmingly, it seems! How do you feel?"

"Good," Lila managed, though the name now niggled at her. Surely Ginnie had grown so used to it she'd forgotten that she herself had assigned it on the spot, but there was no reason Lila had to be stuck with it anymore, now that she had means by which to inform Ginnie of her true name. But... with her true name came a long and complicated story, and... not one she was certain would be worth sharing. But... what if it was?

  1. She let it go, at least for now. After all, she owed Ginnie, and surely Ginnie had plans for this form. No reason to make it more complicated than it already was.
  2. She said, "Actually, my name is Fred."
