Finding the Screamer

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 117888

It was a female voice that had screamed. Was it Exotica? Fred couldn't be sure, never having heard her scream. Whoever it was, though, part of his duty as a knight was to rescue damsels in distress, so he had no option but to investigate. So he made his way through the passageway, illuminated by torches affixed to the wall all the way, until after a couple of minutes he emerged into a well-lit cavern.

He found a beautiful maiden chained to the cavern wall. He could see a large spider crawling up ler leg. If she was an arachnophobe, that was no doubt the reason for her screams, rather than any more deadly peril. (Fred wasn't aware that some spiders could inflict a poisonous bite, as there weren't any in Allaria.)
