"My love!" cried Jasper at once, and he caught her up in a tight, tearful embrace, paying no mind to the dribble of vomitus on her chin. Lilith, dazed for the moment, did not struggle, only taking in her surroundings. She was... back in the palace? But how? Peltar, watching this, breathed a silent sigh of relief, though he knew he was not out of the woods yet; side effects were not always immediately apparent. But still, this had gone much better than he could have fairly expected it to. Presently Jasper set his betrothed down, though he kept his arm wrapped firmly around her, keeping her steady. "Let's bring you back to your chambers so you can rest," he crooned, and Lilith only swayed slightly, blinking, in response. Peltar was struck with pity for the poor girl, but there was hardly anything he could do; she had been sold into this life, and really what a good one it would be. Life, it seemed, would continue as normal - excepting a few new and very strict precautions that would ensure Lilith would never again disappear during the night.
