He was in his early twenties, with brown hair and ill-fitting clothes. Frillia watched from beneath the surface of the pond, and, strangely enough, found her nose crinkling at the sight of his gangly form, his awkward movements. Humans were so... graceless. Was she really sure she had once been one? At least toads knew what they were; humans, it seemed, were always trying to figure it out, and never quite successful. He sat by the pond and observed the creatures, taking notes, and using some tools he had brought to take measurements. It seemed clear he had no intention to harm, but it was also clear that when he was done, he would back up and leave. That just wouldn't do! The pond was such a wonderful place - the nymphs, including an enthusiastic Frillia, unanimously agreed they must give him the happiness with which they themselves were naturally gifted. So together, they began to sing. Frillia vaguely recalled singing with her sisters before, but only now did she consider how it likely sounded to a man who did not understand it. Haunting - yet irresistible.
