All at once she found herself with a human body - but the thing that concerned her most as present was her set of human lungs, which seemed entirely empty at the moment! In a panic, she clawed upwards, quickly reaching the surface, with a shuddering gasp, and paddled her way to shore! She ignored the mud and muck as she pulled herself onto solid ground, coughing. She was naked, now covered in filth, but breathing fresh air through her mouth, flexing her fingers and toes... Eventually she opened her eyes, turning herself over and sitting up, to take it all in. Her hair was long, too long, and she certainly felt different... older, perhaps. In fact several years of her life had been lost in translation from woman to toad to woman, and she now appeared around the age of forty. Oh, but she cared not - she was human again! For a moment she felt euphoria, but then for another she was struck with sudden terror. Did... did she recall how to be human? She had become so used to being a toad, she was nearly content... This felt like years of progress had been undone! She attempted to speak, and strangely enough, a faint croak did rise from her throat, but forming words seemed impossible. Did her human form just not have this ability anymore? Or... or had she simply forgotten how? She stayed seated by the pond for many hours, her mind in turmoil, until she became hungry. She gazed at the dragonflies zipping across the water, but those instincts were gone. No, she must find food elsewhere.
