Wenda is Slain

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 117730

Rhys shortly emerged from the hut, his face and clothes splashed with dark blood, a sword in one hand and Wenda's severed head in the other. Fred shuddered at the ghastly sight, and Rhys set about gathering wood, presumably to make a fire to burn the body. He had initially appeared a rather amicable soul, but now his gaze was steely, his jaw hard, and it was clear this had been an act.

It took some doing, but Fred finally got his attention just after he lit the fire. He stared down at her, and said, "I saw you on the way in. Guess you're a victim. Used to be human. Yes?"

Fred croaked, hope swelling inside her.

Rhys said,

  1. "I suppose I ought to drop you off with someone who might be able to restore you."
  2. "Too bad. Nothing I can do. Only a witch could restore you, and I doubt it will surprise you to hear that I don't work with witches. At least you're free to go where you please now." He turned back to the fire.
  3. "Too bad. Nothing I can do. Only a witch could restore you, and I doubt it will surprise you to hear that I don't work with witches. I'll take you to my cottage, though - there are several other once-humans there."
